In her core, Despoina is an artist.
Starting out as a painter first, Despoina fell in love with the creative process. Photography was also one of her passions, since she was really young.
She studied Medicine in Athens, as science coexists in her temperament, along with the artistic flair. She is now working as a Developmental Pediatrician for children with special needs, at Children’s Hospital in Athens, Greece.
She is a travel photographer, at the most. She loves to depict the past as it clings on the present, and all aspects of everyday life, as well.
She hasn’t done any special graphic design or art studies and her motivating power is her passion for natural beauty.
Professional equipment are non-existent but this doesn’t stop her in sailing through the streets of urban areas along with a simple DSLR camera as a loyal companion.
All the things she has learned, are a result of her drive to find and capture all the possible images of urban living and non-living that appear before her, in her life’s journey.
